David Campbell Wilson
David Campbell Wilson received his BFA from Syracuse University and MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Wilson is the recipient of several awards including the Hiram Gee Painting Award from Syracuse University and the R. Tait McKenzie Medal from the Philadelphia Sketch Club.
His paintings have exhibited in numerous gallery and museum exhibitions in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, New York, and Seattle; and his work has received favorable reviews in The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Seattle Times, and on juxtapoz.com. He is currently represented by Rodger Lapelle Gallery in Philadelphia.
In addition to his career as a painter, David is also an accomplished performance artist and fire dancer. He has been invited 11 times to perform at the Burning Man Festival in Nevada's Black Rock Desert, and spent six years in Los Angeles as director of a fire performance troupe consisting of 25 dancers, stilt walkers, and safety personnel. David is also a legally ordained Justice of the Peace and enjoys officiating weddings in his spare time.
David teaches Still Life Painting in the Certificate/BFA program and additional courses in the Continuing Education program.
